My family used to live in the Dominican Republic, this place is authentic as it gets. The food is flavorful and affordable, the staff are friendly, and there's a family ambiance to the restaurant. I often have the Fried Pork Chop with Fried Plantains and Rice with Pigeon Peas with a Morrir Soñando. There's a lot of delicious options I look forward to trying. I'll definitely be back.
When you step in, the wonderful odor of the rich Caribbean food is delicious. It is is like being there. We ordered the Morongo with crackling (chicaron) and bistec with grill onion. The food was not prepared ahead but ar time of order. We also had tostones and maduros. If you don't know what this is, order some and experience plantain rich flavor. Prices were very reasonable. A good choice for Dominican/Cuban food

The oxtails are my personal favorite but I've tried almost everything and have nothing to suggest they improve. The portions are generous and the food is fantastic. Sajhoma is the best Dominican / Latin Caribbean restaurant in the DMV! My husband (who is half Dominican) and I love this restaurant. The food, the flavors are exceptional and you can't beat the prices. We love this restaurant so much, our rehearsal dinner was held here the night before our wedding this year. The owner and staff are really nice, friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we all had great service and enjoyed the food. Our families and friends who never had Dominican food, thoroughly enjoyed it. Always looking forward to returning whenever we're in the area. Thank you again Sajhoma, "Moreno" and amazing staff for taking good care of us at our rehearsal dinner.
